The Myth of Moses

Robert J. Littman is a professor of classics at UH Manoa. His areas of specialization are Greek History, Egyptology, Ancient Medicine and Septuagint and Biblical Studies.
He has excavated in Israel and Egypt, and is a member of the Codex Sinaiticus Project. His most current book is A Concise History of the Jewish People (with Naomi Pasachoff, 2005), and his latest work, The Book of Tobit, is in press.
He is currently editing two newly found manuscripts of the Pentateuch from the Monastery of St. Catherine of the Sinai. Littman will present The Myth of Moses: The Religious, Archaeological, and Historical Evidence. Sharing our Work and Knowledge is the new UH Manoa faculty lecture series, and is an opportunity for Manoa researchers and faculty to meet, relax and discuss recent and on-going research across disciplinary and departmental boundaries.
