Disability Mentoring Day
October 20, 7:00am - 12:00am
The National Technical Assistance Center for Asian American and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities (NTAC-AAPI), based at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa's Center on Disability Studies, is proud to present Disability Mentoring Day: Career Development for the 21st Century.
Disability Mentoring Day (DMD), administered by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and the U.S. Department of Labor, is a local, national, and international effort to promote the employment of persons with disabilities through personal mentoring. DMD in Hawai`i is coordinated through NTAC-AAPI.
DMD in Hawai`i enables job-seekers and students with disabilities to spend part of a day visiting a locally-based business or agency that matches their interests, and to have one-on-one time with volunteer mentors in their intended career fields.
