The Japanese American Citizens League, Honolulu Chapter presents the forum, Ehren Watada: Conscience and Constitutionality, on Sunday, November 19, 2006, at the UH-Mänoa Architecture Auditorium (2nd floor), 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Ehren Watada, a U.S. Army officer, refused deployment to Iraq, citing the illegal nature of the war. As the first commissioned officer to take this stance, he now faces a general court martial and a sentence of up to eight years in prison. This forum will address the Constitutional and ethical issues involved. Questions and comments are welcome.
