Teaching with Writing

UHM Writing-Focus Workshop The Writing Focus Board is offering a workshop for faculty members teaching a writing-intensive course in Fall 2007. TEACHING WITH WRITING: New and experienced instructors are invited to attend a workshop on strategies that professors have found useful in their writing-intensive classes. Professors Kate Lingley (Art and Art History) and Jim Mak (Economics) will discuss their approaches to teaching with writing. Thomas Hilgers of the Mnoa Writing Program will coordinate the discussion. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in Saunders 704 Conference Room.
