Belly Dance II
March 10, 2008 - April 14, 2008Manoa Campus
Learn the ancient art of Middle Eastern Belly Dancing, both Egyptian and Turkish styles. This aerobic dance will build muscle tone, improve posture, build self-esteem, and it is FUN! You will learn body movement isolations, step combinations, shimmies, general technique, and veil work. Bring a scarf to wrap around your hips. You will also need a 2 and 3/4 to 3 yards long veil for the second class and a full skirt.
Cultural education includes dance movements from Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, North Africa and the first time this summer, an introduction to American Tribal.
