From Belle To The Super B Factory

The Department of Physics and Astronomy Colloquium: Prof. Thomas Browder, UH Manoa, Department of Physics and Astronomy, to speak on "From Belle To The Super B Factory."
Abstract:
I will discuss current experiments on CP violation (matter-antimatter asymmetries) in the weak interaction for non-specialists outside of particle physics. The Belle experiment currently running at the KEK laboratory in Tsukuba, Japan and plans for a Super B Factory that will start operation in 2012 will be described.
