South Asian Dancing Bodies as Sites of Innovating Tradition: Contemporary Indian Dance in India and the U.S. Diaspora
An invited lecture by Ketu Katrak, a scholar of postcolonial literature and theory, Third World women writers, and feminist theory. Dr. Katrak is based in the departments of Asian American Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Irvine.

The Operable Body: Indian Decolonization and the Ethics of Organ Transplantation
An invited lecture by Lawrence Cohen, a cultural anthropologist and critical theorist of medicine, health, and the body. Dr. Cohen is based in the departments of Anthropology and South and Southeast Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

An invited lecture by Satadru Sen, a historian of Indian colonial and postcolonial institutions of body regulation. Dr. Sen is based in the Department of History at Queen's College, City University of New York.
