TALENT Summer 2008 Institute: TALENT101

TALENT101 is the FREE internet based session of the Summer TALENT Institute. The 101 course targets faculty/staff new to the world of web based, distance education as well as those interested in discussing issues that concern teaching and learning in this new environment.
The course is designed to orient faculty/staff to successes and sometimes constraints of being an online student, as well as present information/issues that are of concern to those teaching online. Module exercises focus on facilitating interaction among peers and instructor, assessment, copyright and course design.
TALENT101 typically begins in June of each year and runs for a period of 4 weeks. Course modules are released on a weekly bases and usually can be completed within a few hours.
