UH System Awards Convocation

The UH System Awards Convocation is an annual ceremony held at the beginning of the academic year which honors the excellence and accomplishments of faculty and staff throughout the 10-campus University of Hawai`i system.
Thirteen different awards for teaching, research, community or university service will be presented to more than 40 recipients, based on nominations and selection by various committees.
The ceremony will include remarks by Governor Linda Lingle, President David McClain and Board of Regents Vice Chair Howard Karr. The ten campus chancellors will also participate.
The Convocation ceremony will be webcast on the UH website and carried live via HITS, the Hawaii Interactive Television System, to select campuses.
A luncheon, by advance reservation only, will follow the ceremony.
