Revisiting Milton Murayama
November 12, 6:30pm - 8:30pmManoa Campus, UHM Art Auditorium
“Revisiting Milton Murayama: From Plantation to Diaspora” will feature the premiere showing of an interview with Murayama that was videotaped and edited by Gary Pak. Other speakers will include Arnold Hiura, Lee Cataluna, and Marie Hara, followed by a short reading by Murayama, and an autograph session. Light refreshments will be provided.
The free event is sponsored by University of Hawai‘i Press with the UH Mānoa English Department, Bamboo Ridge Press, and the University of Hawai‘i Diversity and Equity Initiative, and in partnership with the Hawai‘i Council for the Humanities, with additional support from the “We, The People” initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
