Abstract:
Economists have long used laboratory experiments to investigate economic behavior, and more recently to investigate values for non-market goods such as environmental amenities and food safety. The seminar will provide an overview of laboratory valuation techniques and discuss applications in the valuation of food attributes and environmental benefits, and measurement of risk preferences.
