The Night of the "Living Will"
October 29, 12:45pm - 2:00pmManoa Campus, School of Law, Moot Court Room (ROOM CHANGE)
The University of Hawai'i Elder Law Program (UHELP) at the William S. Richardson School of Law will hold its annual NIGHT OF THE LIVING WILL and expose so-called "Death Panels" in Hawai`i.
During this unusual daylight presentation of the annual Halloween event, Professor James Pietsch will provide brief remarks about "death panels," hospital ethics committees and “the death of the living will” in Hawaii.
Attendees will then be afforded the opportunity to execute an advance directive, including individual instructions for health care and a durable power of attorney for health care decisions.
If you still have an old "Living Will" or you are afraid of the so-called "death panels," be sure to find out what danger you may be in. Also find out how easy it is to make an advanced directive under the current law to make sure your wishes regarding health care decisions are honored.
To get more information and to RSVP, please call 956-6544. Please join us in the Moot Court Room on the First Floor of the Law School located at 2515 Dole Street.
