Together through the Arts:

Universal Design for Learning-Disability Awareness for Hawai'i Teaching Artists in the Public Schools.

This one-day intensive hands-on workshop is an introduction to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the classroom for teaching artists in public schools.

In its third year, the state agency/private sector partnership with the UH College of Education, Hawaii Arts Alliance and the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, VSA arts –HI continues the outreach and promotion of inclusive classroom with teaching artists in the school.

Held at the Hawai'i State Arts Museum in Honolulu, the UDL/disability awareness workshop is open to pre-service teachers and others at UH College of Education and others in the fields of arts and cultural access.

The professional development workshop is offered to DOE approved Master Artists and consortium of public schools, cultural institutions, the University of Hawai'i system, and human service agencies.
