ACCFSC Faculty Budget Workshop

January 7, 2011 - January 8, 2011
Mānoa Campus, William S. Richardson School of Law - Classroom 2 Add to Calendar

All UH Faculty members are invited to join the All Campus Council of Faculty Senate Chairs (ACCFSC) in January for a two-day Faculty Budget Workshop run by Professors Rudy Fichtenbaum [Economics-Wright University] and Howard Bunsis [Accounting-Eastern Michigan University] who are experts in analyzing university budgets across the nation.

Some topics they will cover include the difference between budgets and actual financial statements, fund accounting versus accrual accounting versus cash-basis accounting, the basic setup of the UH System, and revenue and expense breakdowns. All UH faculty members can RSVP to attend the workshop in person, to access the workshop electronically through the STAN videoconferencing system, or to request an electronic recording of the workshop.

Please note that a $250 travel reimbursement from UHPA is available to the first 20 neighbor island faculty members who RSVP for this event.

Please click on the attached information flier for registration options and instructions, a draft agenda, and STAN videoconferencing instructions. We look forward to seeing you there!
