Wang Qingsong’s photographic work explores the rapidly changing political, social, and cultural identities of China and Western influences on Chinese culture. Qingsong uses large scales, rich colors and themes of overabundance in his work to critique the westernization of China.

He received his degree from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. He has exhibited internationally in London, Germany, Beijing, Australia, Tokyo, and many other major cities the world over.
