US Offshore and Coastal Wind Power in 2011: ProgrJanuary 26, 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Hawai‘i Institute of Geophysics Building, Room #210
Wind energy is the fastest growing source of energy in the world today. To explore the future of this burgeoning renewable energy, Dr. Jeremy Firestone, an associate professor at the University of Delaware who specializes in offshore and coastal wind power, will offer a free public lecture at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
Dr. Firestone’s research has focused on gauging public opposition to, and support for, wind power. It also addresses the more general question of how to incorporate society’s views of emerging technologies into policy decisions.
