The Center for Okinawan Studies are co-sponsors with the Enthnomusicology Association for this inaugural lecture " Words on Music: An Ethnomusicology Speaker Series."

David Hughes, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, will give a talk titled Okinawan Music and Identity: From Local to Global

Admission is free. Students, faculty and community members are welcomed to listen to a rare lecture about Okinawan music.
