UH's Shanah Trevenna-UHM Book Signing Event

April 11, 12:30pm - 1:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Bilger Hall Auditorium 152 Add to Calendar

Upon her return from a San Francisco book tour and receiving a national award in Baltimore, UHM lecturer and PhD. candidate Shanah Trevenna will share her upcoming TED Talk based on her recently published handbook for change agents, ‘Surfing Tsunamis Of Change’.

Shanah will share her powerful narrative from an unfulfilling career to a meaningful, highly rewarding work-life integration. When she realized her prized engineering job at a high tech company was hurting people and the environment, Shanah left her corporate life and home country of Canada on an exploration of change.

Her transformative journey eventually landed her as an unknown graduate student amongst thousands in Hawaii with a vision that her new home would be a model and world leader in sustainability.

Her book sheds new light on what stifles and creates change and through engaging research and proven strategies shows how every individual, organization, business and community can ultimately learn to enjoy surfing the waves of change occurring in our world today, and in our lives every day.
