Screening of Tadashi Nakamura's trilogy on the early Asian American Movement - Yellow Brotherhood (2003), Pilgrimage (2007), and A Song For Ourselves (2009).
A Song For Ourselves features the life and music of Asian American Movement troubadour and former UH Law Professor, Chris Iijima. Nakamura’s three short documentaries narrates the interlocking stories of Asian American politics, activism, and community and continues a long tradition of documentary activism.
