The Joy of Mentoring!

A panel of experienced faculty mentors will discuss the rewards and challenges of becoming an effective faculty mentor to graduate students.

The panel includes two I-faculty awardees of the UH Manoa Distinguished Graduate Mentoring Award and a researcher who mentors many graduate students on interdisciplinary, inter-institutional research projects.

The panel will address such topics as: • strategies for successful student completion of degree • critical responsibilities of a mentor • what to avoid in mentoring • what makes graduate students worthwhile and gratifying?

Please bring a brown bag lunch and a colleague!
