Mānoa Campus, Orvis Auditorium Add to Calendar

Pianist Jonathan Korth presents a solo recital of music inspired by great writers.

The first half will feature works of Mendelssohn, Debussy, Liszt, and Ives inspired by Shakespeare, Dante, and Thoreau.

This is paired with Prokofiev's 8th Piano Sonata, the most lyrical of his epic wartime sonatas and a masterwork of the 20th century keyboard literature.

Jonathan Korth is Assistant Professor of Piano at UHM Music Department. He enjoys a multifaceted career as a soloist, chamber musician, collaborator, and teacher, having performed recitals across the United States, Europe, and Asia to critical acclaim.
