Mānoa Campus, Institute for Astronomy, 2680 Woodlawn Drive Add to Calendar

Join IfA astronomers and UH planetologists to discuss and watch the landing of the Mars rover Curiosity, which will take place about 7:30 p.m. Hawaii time. This rover (shown here in a picture courtesy of NASA/JPL-Caltech) is by far the largest ever landed on Mars, and its landing has been described as "seven minutes of terror." We will be showing the live fee from NASA TV. For more information, go to http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2012/16jul_daring/
