Inside the Ethnic Studies Studio...Featuring Paulskeee

September 13, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Mānoa Campus, mpus Center #203E Add to Calendar

This presentation will feature Paul “Paulskeee” Ruma, the legendary B-boy and founder of the Mighty4 Arts Foundation. Since 1998 Mighty4 has helped to preserve and unify the four cornerstones of hip hop culture, hosted the San Francisco Bay Area’s only annual hip hop cultural festival, and provided a positive and creative outlet for youth. Paulskeee is also the former president of the Bay Area-based Rock Force Crew, which has won nearly every major B-boy competition worldwide. Paulskeee will talk about his work, locally (through Diverse A.R.T. and A.R.T. Center Kaua‘i) and globally (through the various chapters of Mighty4 and his promotional activities), that uses the elements of hip hop to empower youth for positive social change.
