Mānoa Campus, Campus Center Add to Calendar

The University of Hawaii at Manoa chapters of Young Americans for Liberty (YAL), and Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society will be hosting a mock presidential election this Thursday at the UH – Manoa campus.

The election will take place Thursday, November 1, 2012 between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the UH – Manoa Campus Center outside of Starbucks and Jamba Juice. The entire student body is encouraged to participate, and asked to show their UH ID to confirm their enrollment. At the conclusion of the election, a public count of votes cast will take place.

This event allows students an opportunity to anonymously and confidently to show their support for the individual they feel will make the best President of the United States, and familiarize themselves with the election process. Election conditions will be similar to those on November 6th, complete with an official voting booth courtesy of the Office of Elections, similar ballots, and safeguards to assure the integrity of the voting process.

Any questions or concerns regarding this event can be addressed by contacting YAL President Brenden Burk by by phone at (808) 269–0848, or YAL Vice President Kiara Burgemeister by phone at (808) 205-1756.

Don’t be silent! Let your voice be heard and participate in the mock election November 1st!
