The ABCs of Teaching: Beyond the Red Ink

This session will look at alternative methods for providing feedback for a variety of written assignments. We'll be looking at ways to save instructor time and effort while assuring students are receiving the feedback required to encourage "writing to learn" not just writing for the sake of fulfilling an assignment. Online resources and methods, use of mp3 and other recorded feedback techniques and use of peer evaluation will be covered in the session, as well as tips on how to best use the old standard "red pen."
