University of Hawaii Cancer Center Grand Opening

On Saturday, February 23 the University of Hawai'i Cancer Center will host the grand opening of their new facility in Kaka'ako.

The festivities will start with a blessing ceremony at 10 a.m. which will include keynote speaker Nobel Laureate and Professor Elizabeth Blackburn and opening remarks by University of Hawaii President MRC Greenwood.

The blessing will be followed by a free open house and science fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The open house and science fair will feature tours of the new facility and demonstrations of the latest research being done at the center. There will also be games, zumba classes, hula demonstrations, skin cancer screenings and more.

So come on down to Kaka'ako and join us for this exciting and historical event.
