Hitler Youth Quex (1933) - Dir. Hans Steinhoff - 95 mins.

This 1933 film based on a 1932 novel is one of the first films to articulate the Nazi ideology. It documents Weimar era tensions between Nazis and Communists and shows how Nazi rhetoric depicted them. It also paints a glorifying picture of the self-sacrifice of youth for the Nazi party.

In German with English sub-titles.
