Mānoa Campus, Art Building, University of Hawaii Art Gallery and Commons Gallery Add to Calendar

"Shift: Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition 2013" showcases the accomplishments of forthcoming graduates from the B.F.A. program in the Department of Art and Art History at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. "Shift" refers to the changes in perception between artists and their viewers while also symbolizing the end of an era and beginning of another as students graduate from UHM. The Graphic Design program will be exhibiting the new identity for the Department of Theatre and Dance in the Commons Gallery. The visual identity system focuses on the essence of live performance: the human body in time and space. Students in the Studio Art program will be exhibiting a diverse range of ideas, techniques and media, including ceramics, drawing and painting, electronic arts, fiber, glass, photography, performance, printmaking, and sculpture in the UHM Art Gallery. The work is a culmination of a semester-long focused exploration of professional studio practice.
