Kyo-Shin-An Arts Concert

Musicians from Kyo-Shin-An Arts will perform new works by current and former UH faculty composers (Donald Reid Womack, Thomas Osborne, Takuma Itoh, and Takeo Kudo), other recent works, and traditional Japanese works.

The performers are James Nyoraku Schlefer, shakuhachi, and Yoko Reikano Kimura, koto and shamisen.

Uniquely dedicated to the appreciation and integration of Japanese musical instruments in Western classical music, Kyo-Shin-An Arts commissions and produces new works and concerts that highlight the outstanding virtuosity of the koto, shakuhachi and shamisen.

$12 general admission, $8 students, seniors (65+), UH faculty/staff (ID required) (at the door)
