The Politics of Tenure: Becoming a Member of a Community of Scholars

This event is a part of the Faculty Mentoring Program Summer Dossier Series and will focus on how tenure decisions are coupled with the highly complex social and political processes of tenure that revolve around specialization, peer review, departmental politics, among other factors. Featuring: Dr. Joanne Cooper, Professor Emeritus, Department of Educational Administration. Dr. Cooper is author of Tenure in the Sacred Grove: Issues and Strategies for Women and Minority Faculty, and Journal Keeping: How to Use Reflective Writing for Learning, Teaching, Professional Insight and Positive Change.
