Through Our Eyes: Digital Photography for Teens with David Ulrich

June 9, 2014 - June 13, 2014
Mānoa Campus, Sakamaki C104 Add to Calendar

Photographer Dorothea Lange said, “The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.” Join us for an exciting and informative week learning the camera, taking photographs in the field, and exploring the post-processing capabilities of Photoshop and Lightroom. You’ll explore composition, lighting, the decisive moment, and expressive use of color and form. Assignments help you find the unique nature of how you see the world and make highly original photographs. Learning to see with a camera is emphasized. Each student leaves with several large prints of their images.

For: Students 12-17 years old. Must have a camera and SD card or Compact Flash capture card.

David Ulrich is a core faculty member and the program coordinator for Pacific New Media. He is an active photographer and writer whose work has been published in numerous books and journals. www.creativeguide.com
