A Night of Korean Art Songs

Soprano Hyeon Sim Kim, will present a recital of Korean art songs with four themes: Homeland, Seasons, Love, and Nature. The songs range in style from Korean traditional to romantic Western melodic songs with Korean traditional instruments. She will be accompanied by Chung Haing Lee, piano, and Seola Kim, janggu and haegeum.

Hyeon Sim Kim is an alumna of Seoul National University in Korea and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. She is guest professor of voice at Music Department in Kyung Hee University, Seoul Korea. She has performed eleven solo recitals in New York, Nashville, Seoul, and Pusan and appeared in numerous operas.
