The Loli Aniau, Maka‘ala Aniau (Climate Change, Climate Alert) or “LAMA” project housed within Hawaiʻinuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge, invites you to join our next full moon ‘“Hōʻā i ka lama Lights Out” event by turning off your use of electricity from sundown on September 9th until sun up on September 10th as a symbolic act to show your awareness and care for the planet. The Pledge: I make a pledge to turn my attention to the night sky to show my collective support for the Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage, to raise awareness around the global issue of climate change, and encourage simple, conscious efforts to mālama ʻāina (care for the land).
