Film screening of PRIDE with panel discussion

April 17, 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Hawaii Institute for Geophysics 110 Add to Calendar

Free film screening of PRIDE, followed by a panel discussion, featuring Reggie Blennerhassett (one of the original activists).

While faced with the homophobic “Thatcherite” England, gay and lesbian activists came to support the miners during the bitter 1984 strike in Wales. A sometimes humorous but powerful look at how two cultures, both of them often underground, work toward tolerance, respect and solidarity.
