The Will Weinstein Ethics Conversation Series presents Medical Ethics featuring Dr. Jerris Hedges, dean of the UH Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine; Dr. Scott Sims, doctor of veterinary medicine; and Dr. Mack Roach, doctor and professor of radiation oncology and urology and former chairman of radiation onology at the University of California at San Francisco. How does the medical community strive to behave ethically while under pressure to maintain profitability? Is healthcare a right or a privilege? How does our health care system compare ethically to those in other countries? Leaders from different arenas of the medical profession will discuss balancing “First, do no harm,” with conducting the business of medicine.
