Li Yan Wang, Health Economist from the Division of Adolescent and School Health with the Centers for Disease Control will present information from her cost benefit analysis studies and discuss the positive impact of having a school health program.
Presentation discussion followed by light refreshments.
This event is for Nursing students, public health nurses, community partners and the general public.

HawaiÊ»i Keiki: Health and Ready to Learn, a partnership between UH MÄnoa Nursing and the HawaiÊ»i Department of Education sits at the intersection of education and health to support the DOE to achieve student, school, and system success.
The program is enhancing and building school based health services that screen for treatable health conditions; provide referral to primary health care and patient centered medical home services; prevent and control communicable disease and other health problems; and provide emergency care for illness or injury.
