The UH Ethnomusicology Association (EMA) is hosting Emeritus Professor of Anthropology and renowned Ethnomusicologist, Dr. Robert Garfias, of the University of California at Irvine, as its 2016 Guest Speaker during the week of April 4 through April 8, 2016.
On Wednesday, April 6, at 4:30pm in Moore Hall’s Tokioka Room (Room 319), Dr. Garfias will present a talk to the entire UH community entitled "The Development and Diffusion of Music Tradition in the Far East," followed by light refreshments. This event is co-sponsored by EMA and the Korean Studies Center.
