Presenting and Communicating Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Results

September 27, 1:00pm - 2:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Kuykendall 106 Add to Calendar

Clear and meaningful presentation of the results is the first step toward meaningful use of assessment results. Most of us have seen tables of numbers, charts, and informational reports that are difficult to interpret or lead to misinterpretation because of poor design. In this workshop, participants will learn several simple techniques to create clear tables, charts, and one-page reports. The facilitator will first discuss the move from results of individual students (raw data) to a summary of those students' results and, second, the move from that summary to effective tables, charts, and one-page reports. In addition, participants will leave with strategies to promote their colleagues' engagement with the table/chart/one-page report.

Level: Beginner
Who should attend: This workshop is designed for program assessment coordinators and others interested in ways to engage colleagues in reflective discussion of findings.
Format: Presentation + Interactive Activities
