This preshow talk introduces key aspects of the devised theatre production "Smile, You're Under Surveillance!" (Kennedy Theatre, 7:30pm). Elise Morrison (Dept. of Performance Studies/Texas A&M), author of "Discipline and Desire: Surveillance Technologies in Performance" (University of Michigan Press, 2016), will discuss recent attempts in theatre and performance to engage with the culture of surveillance from a feminist perspective.
