Into the Archives: On Initiating Students in the Art of Primary Sources

Would ​you ​like to increase the use of primary sources in your teaching​? ​Are you interested in developing assignments that effectively use archival material? Are you looking for new ways to stimulate critical thinking?

In this hands-on workshop for faculty, ​presenters will​:

  • discuss strategies for developing teaching material that use primary sources
  • explore a set of documents from the UH archives and special collections
  • discuss strategies for building in-class, research and writing assignments around archival material
