Establishing a Culturally Responsive Classroom

This event is offered with new Mānoa faculty in mind to provide guidance in using culturally responsive techniques in the classroom and support for engaging with the community. All faculty are welcome to attend.

A panel of diverse Mānoa faculty will:

  • share their successes and challenges in teaching Mānoa's unique student population;
  • offer instructional strategies for faculty in designing courses;
  • consider effective uses of "Talk Story" in and out of the classroom.

Coffee and tea will be provided. Please feel free to bring lunch.
