The Student Media Board is a Chartered Student Organization that governs student media programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, such as Ka Leo, Hawaiʻi Review, KTUH, and UH Productions.  Through the mandatory student activity fees - Board of Publication Fee (BOP) and the Broadcast Communication Fee (BCA), Student media programs receive $16 (BOP fee is $13 and BCA fee is $3) per student each semester to pay for the operations and service delivery of these programs. This fee has remained stagnant since the 1980s. The SMB is proposing a fee increase to continue funding these critical student programs.

SMB will be presenting information about the fee increase proposal on the following days:

Monday, November 13 at 6:00PM - 7:00PM at Campus Center 308.

Tuesday, November 14 at 6:00PM - 7:00PM  at Campus Center 307.

Come to learn about the fee proposal, how media fees are being used and what programs and services are funded.
