Documentary Screening, Talk & Bone Marrow Drive - Mixed Match

February 26, 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Art Auditorium, Room 132 Add to Calendar

Please join us in the special showing of Mixed Match at the University of Hawaii at Manoa on Monday, February 26, 2018, 4:30pm at the ART Auditorium. This emotion-filled new documentary shows that people of multiple ethnicities face a grim forecast for survival after contracting blood cancers due to the long odds of finding a close genetic match for bone marrow and blood stem cell transplants. Mixed Match follows personal stories of patients hoping to find donors with similar ancestry, with Hawaii’s unique diversity it makes a compelling case for minorities and multiethnic people to register as donors.

A bone marrow donor registry drive will be held before and after the screening outside lobby area. Registering is quick and easy, it takes less than 10 minutes to fill out form and do a quick mouth cheek swab. Please attend and become and part of the hope!
