CHASING ICE
(2013; Submarine Deluxe; 75 min)

This film, nominated for an Academy Award, follows environmental photographer James Balog and his team as they face the challenging task of documenting the retreat of Arctic glaciers by means of long-term time-lapse photography. They ultimately compress years into seconds, producing stunning evidence of rapid ice loss.
