What makes online teaching different from face-to-face instruction? What are strategies to make the design and delivery of an online course successful? Come explore foundational elements of effective online courses and learn how to promote student engagement in the process.


In this workshop, we will discuss the following best practices:

  • Defining your mode of delivery and setting expectations for students
  • Designing your course to generate interaction with and among students
  • Utilizing the Community of Inquiry (Col) framework to foster meaningful learning
