Do you love plants and people? Enjoy hiking in M?noa’s beautiful rainforest? Want to learn more about our plant collections, trails and history?

Help us celebrate 101 years as an Arboretum by becoming a volunteer docent guide. Sharing in the spirit of aloha is what our wonderful docent guides program is all about.

In this three part training course you will learn how to be an effective interpreter of our collections for the general public. Ornamental plants, trees of interest, ethnobotanical uses, plant taxonomy, Hawaiian biogeography, and natural history are some of the topics that will be covered.
