Equity through “Intentional” Course Design

February 18, 10:30am - 11:30am
Mānoa Campus, Online Add to Calendar

Universal Design for Learning is a framework created to eliminate inequity barriers. How can we be strategic in our online course design to leverage UDL principles and create meaningful, flexible learning for all students? Using the Equity by Design book (and book club guide), we will be highlighting key points from chapters 5–6 and discussing ways to apply them to our online teaching, learning, and support. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to read the book, there will be something for everyone! Let’s collectively brainstorm ways that we can be “intentional” in designing for online students.

This event is organized by the UH Online Innovation Center (UHOIC) and co-sponsored by the UHM OFDAS Center for Teaching Excellence.
