The UH Women's Center, along with International Women's Group, Pau Violence, and East-West Center Participants Association are hosting reusable pad workshops for people to utilize as an alternative to disposable menstrual products. Menstruating individuals and other community members are encouraged to come and sew pads and discuss menstrual equity and menstruation. This is a maka hana ka ʻike type workshop: Make & Take. All extra menstrual pads will be donated to local womenʻs shelters or shelters in the community. Switching to reusable menstrual pads are better for the environment, healthier than disposable pads, will help you save money and are sanitary and won’t leak. Please help us fight period poverty with sustainable solutions! 3PM till 6PM Queen Liliuokalani Center for Student Services Room #412.
