Never Forget: Remembering the Armenian Genocide on the 108th AnniversaryApril 24, 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Annika Topelian (PhD candidate in the U H Manoa Department of Linguistics) will discuss the events leading up to the genocide of Armenians in 1915 during World War I, and the many impacts of that tragedy for survivors and their descendants. Ms. Topelian will also consider the politics of naming and officially recognizing the Armenian Genocide, as well as the implications for recent and current events in Armenia and Artsakh. The talk is free and open to the public. The talk will be followed by a candlelight vigil at 7:30 pm in the Moore Hall courtyard on the U H Manoa campus.
