Critical Theory Across the Disciplines: 100 Years of the Frankfurt School
April 26, 4:00pm - 6:00pmMānoa Campus, Sakamaki Hall A201

"Critical Theory Across the Disciplines: 100 Years of the Frankfurt School" brings together faculty, students and members of the community to reflect upon the significance and legacies of the Frankfurt School scholars and major texts. U H Manoa scholars from different disciplines -- History, Political Science, German, Philosophy, Theatre -- will consider the School's influence on their scholarship and the significant legacies for their fields and areas of interest. Members of the audience are encouraged to engage these scholars with questions and in extended discussion. Prof Tanke (Philosophy) has selected a text to help prepare for and guide our meeting. Please email Prof Hoffenberg at peterh@hawaii.edu if you would like a copy of that text. Coffee, tea and a light nosh will be served.
